🔒 Cashium

📋 Overview

Cashium ("the App") is a personal expense-tracking application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains exactly what data the App uses, where it stays, and when (if ever) it leaves your device.

📱 Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally using an on-device database (Hive). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the AI Analysis feature.

• Expense records (title, amount, category, date, optional note)
• Income records (amount, source, date)
• Monthly income setting
• Preferred currency
• Your OpenAI API key (stored only on-device)

No account or registration is required to use the App.

🤖 AI Analysis Feature (OpenAI)

If you choose to use the AI Analysis feature, the App sends a summarised, aggregated snapshot of your expense data to OpenAI's API in order to generate financial insights. Specifically:

• Total and per-category spending amounts
• Monthly income total
• Number of transactions per category

What is NOT sent: expense titles, notes, individual transaction details, or any personally identifiable information.

This feature requires you to supply your own OpenAI API key. Your key is stored on-device and transmitted directly to OpenAI's servers — the developers of Cashium never receive it. Use of OpenAI is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

🔐 Biometric Authentication

The App may use your device's biometric authentication (fingerprint / Face ID) to protect access to your financial data. Biometric processing is handled entirely by your device's operating system. Cashium never accesses, stores, or transmits biometric data.

🌐 No Third-Party Analytics or Advertising

Cashium does not include any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, crash-reporting services, or social-media integrations. We do not collect usage statistics, device identifiers, or any telemetry from the App.

👶 Children's Privacy

Cashium is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

🗑️ Deleting Your Data

You have full control over your data at all times. You can delete all app data from Settings → Delete All Data within the App, or by uninstalling the App from your device. Both actions permanently remove all locally stored information.

🔄 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
